OLYMPUS The Greek retelling of Indian mythology.

A book by Devdutt Pattanaik that I finished reading in my exams  and it is a good one to read. The Greek mythologies are mind blowing. It is a compilation of every possible interaction that can happen between a mortal and a God. If you are a sucker for fantasy genre it is definitely worth your time.

On my part, I absolutely, absolutely loved it. Percy Jackson series which is based on it was my first catch and a disney show on Hercules introduced me to Greek mythology. Occasionally being a visitor on wikipedia I came to know more mythology related things.

So I always wanted at least one book related to this in my shelf and frankly this book didn’t disappoint me. But the way author has related Greek mythology with Indian mythology is a bit absurd. Some points are way off. So I pretty much avoided the comparison part. Otherwise this book is pretty good. And if anyone thinks Game Of Thrones has a lot many characters, this one contains not much but a little more. And another thing I would want to tee about this book is that it lacks flow, that is its another let down.

I would rate it 💣💣💣💣
Pros :-
  1. Great retelling.
  2. Short and to the point.
Cons :-
1. The flow is attenuated by dividing it according to character.
